FORCES
When I was younger, Santa Claus bought me a yellow jeep. That was probably one of the best gifts ever because a jeep is one of the coolest toys! The jeep made animal noises and all of the kids in my neighborhood wanted to play with the jeep. Eventually, my jeep broke. Luckily, Santa Claus bought my younger sister a pink Cadillac Barbie jeep. Although her jeep was not as cool as mine, I still would drive hers. And although a jeep is not as cool as a car, the physics of uniform circular motion is still the same. While turning the jeep left, my body went towards the right. While turning the jeep right, my body went towards the left. A centripetal force directed toward the center forces my body to move in that circular path. Due to my inertia, my body wants to go straight. Therefore, I feel as if an outward force is pushing my outward, which is called centrifugal force. However, there is no outward force causing me to feel an outward sensation. It is only my body's intertia. The jeep moves very slow, so I do not feel that outward sensation as strongly as if I were driving in a 60 mile per hour car. Now I can tell my little passagener all about physics!
